The reversed history of the Philippines

The Philippines just had its first national automated elections. Leading the presidency is a man from a heroic roots. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III has all the resources and background he needed to be a leader, but he hasn’t proven his capabilities yet in the government. Born by two great personalities, Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Aquino, he has allot to prove to the Filipino Nation. Maybe he could start proving himself as a leader by giving justice to the victims of Hacienda Luicita.

But time really played a tricky joke on his term as newly elected Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr will be with him in his six years.  What a reverse shift in time. As we remember the history, it was during Ferdinand Marcos’s , Sr. time when Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. was elected as a member of the Senate. And through the time of Marcos, Ninoy was one of the top most personality who was going against the government. Because of the death of Ninoy, Edsa People Power took place, and gave Cory Aquino a tagged of Icon of Democracy.

Today, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is the president and Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. is the Senator. Will there be a spark between the two?
